
Three faculty members have been selected to attend the 2022 Lilly International Teaching and Learning Conference to be held
August 8 – 10, 2022 in Asheville, North Carolina. The theme of the 2022 conference is “Innovative Strategies to Enhance Student Learning”.
Through a variety of engaging interactive sessions, participants will be exposed to best practices and the latest research in college teaching including classroom assessment, course design, fostering student practices, instructional methods, instructional skills and more. For 40 years, Lilly Conferences have provided opportunities for the presentation of the scholarship of teaching and learning. Conference participants are comprised of graduate students, faculty, and administrators at various stages in their academic careers that come from across the United States, representing nearly every discipline found in higher education.
The following SC State faculty were recommended by their department chair and will attend the 2022 conference:
- Dr. Ndubuisi Godfrey, Biological and Physical Sciences
- Ms. Margaret O’Hare, Visual and Performing Arts
- Dr. Nia Johnson, Speech Pathology and Audiology.
The Center for Online and Distance Education (CODE) provides administrative support for online and distance education and faculty development. Through the support of Title III teaching and learning grants, CODE has sponsored the attendance of over 60 faculty at state and national teaching and learning conferences.
