The Addiction and Trauma certificate program is designed to meet the growing demands within the counseling field. The program meets the educational requirements for the certified addictions counselor as well as provide an emphasis in trauma counseling. The curriculum of the Certificate in Addiction and Trauma focuses on evidence-based addiction education which would equip professionals with the knowledge to provide the highest quality counseling to individuals dealing with substance abuse, addiction and trauma.
The program targets working professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, social work or related fields, and are interested in becoming certified in addictions counseling or furthering their career endeavors. The program features an online delivery format coupled with an accelerated semester schedule.

Program Information
A bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college or university in counseling, social work, psychology or related field. Students are admitted into the program twice per year: Fall and Spring semesters. Start your application for admissions today. Courses are taught fully online in an eight-week semester term. The accelerated semester format allows students to potentially complete the entire certificate program within one year.

Fees: $84 (per semester)
*eTuition rates are the same for both in-state and out-of-state students.
